RSVP for the Moapa Paiute "Coal to Clean Energy" Earth Day Walk: April 20!
The Moapa Band of Paiutes suffer respiratory ailments and even premature death from living next to the Reid Gardner Coal Plant.
In-spite of their challenges they are bringing clean energy to their reservation and now, after years of hard work from members of the tribe and people like you -- NV Energy has announced they want to retire Reid Gardner!
This is great news but we aren't done yet. We need to ensure Nevada's transition from coal doesn't rely on dirty natural gas or other fossil fuels -- but instead grows clean energy.
Support the Moapa Band of Paiutes in their walk to replace coal with clean energy on the Moapa reservation and for all of Nevada.
