Time for some great news -- a leaked Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) document shows that the agency is "fast-tracking its response to the Supreme Court's 2007 climate decision with plans to issue a mid-April finding that global warming threatens both public health and welfare."
We are excited and it's just another sign that you should get involved in the fight against global warming.
Make a Difference as an Energy and Global Warming Activist
If you're ready to make a positive impact on federal global warming and energy policy, it is time for you to become an energy activist with the Sierra Club.
Our allies in the White House and Congress continue to lead the way for a clean energy economy. Both the House and Senate are currently working on energy bills, and President Obama has called upon them to send climate legislation to his desk. Energy activists are actively engaged in helping to ensure that Congress delivers on these priorities.
In the coming months, energy activists will call, send letters to, and meet with members of Congress to ask them to support a clean energy economy by passing comprehensive climate policy, a Renewable Electricity Standard (RES), and an Energy Efficiency Resource Standard (EERS).
Want to make a difference? Join us! Energy activists engage with national Club staff via a listserv to stay informed on current energy and global warming debates. People in this network will get the most up-to date and time sensitive information regarding the Club's energy work on Capitol Hill.
They're also invited to join regular trainings on topics ranging from earning local media to meeting with your decision maker. Activists take part in two national conference calls each month with leaders from our national Sierra Club campaigns.

You Can Also Take Action Right Now: Let your elected leaders know that clean and efficient energy is what we need to lower our bills and fight global warming.
