Take Action: Support a Robust Weatherization Assistance Program for Low-Income Americans
The government's Weatherization Assistance Program is a remarkable success story. It has increased the comfort and reduced the energy bills of more than one million low-income families. Families receiving weatherization services see their annual energy bills reduced by an average of about $437, depending on fuel prices.
Tell President Obama to make sure the Weatherization Assistance Program has adequate resources to continue its important work.
Grassroots Activism: Happy Birthday, Sierra Club Puerto Rico
Sierra Club Puerto Rico just celebrated its eighth birthday, and the chapter's achieved some amazing successes over the years. From protecting the Northeast Ecological Corridor to stopping a natural gas pipeline and more, the chapter's staff and volunteers have done phenomenal work.
When they started in 2003, they had 68 members. Now they number more than 1,600. Congratulations and feliz cumpleaños, Sierra Club Puerto Rico!
