A new report just released by the Sierra Club, documents the devastating impacts of our nation's dependence on coal. The report, The Dirty Truth About Coal: Why Yesterday's Technology Should Not Be Part of Tomorrow's Energy Future, details the serious societal, economic and environmental tolls of coal. Learn the true cost of our dependence on coal and what we can do to lessen it.
(2) Malibu: City Honors Sierra Club Activist The city of Malibu issued a special commendation today to Sierra Club activist Owen Bailey for his work to protect California's coast. Bailey, along with a diverse coalition of Latino organizations, business leaders, organized labor and community groups worked for over three years to keep a liquefied natural gas terminal off California's coast.
