Speaking Out Against Big Polluters
All day today in Arlington, Virginia, and all day Thursday in Chicago, Illinois, the Environmental Protection Agency is holding a public hearing on its proposed "Big Polluters" rule.
Right now only a handful of sources, including coal power plants, are responsible for more than half of all the global warming pollution in the United States. These mega-polluters should be held responsible for their share – and this EPA rule would hold them accountable.
You can follow along with the tweets from our folks inside these hearings by watching the #bigpolluters hashtag on Twitter, or by tuning into our Compass blog. Submit your own comments on why this rule is important!
