Paddling in Iowa

Make a Tax-deductible Donation to the Iowa Chapter of the Sierra Club.

The Iowa Chapter’s plans for the future include continuing our global warming and renewable energy initiatives, lobbying administrators to regulate fine particulate matter and greenhouse gases and industrial agriculture rulemaking.

The Chapter also plans to continue its campaigns to reduce Iowa’s contribution to the Gulf of Mexico hypoxia; to collaborate with a regional Sierra Club committee to reduce Nitrogen and Phosphorous in the Mississippi River watershed; to defend the health of the fragile Loess Hills ecosystem; and to continue to protect bald eagles by encouraging hunters to use alternative ammunition through public education and legislative efforts.
