Eldora Ski Area has proposed expanding beyond its current boundaries, impacting both a wildlife and riparian corridor and backcountry travelers heading to the Indian Peaks Wilderness Area and the Jenny Creek Trail.

It is critical to send comments now to the Forest Service on the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) regardless of whether you commented during the scoping phase two years ago. CLICK HERE to check out the Forest Service maps and DEIS.

If you visit the Indian Peaks Wilderness Area, use the Jenny Creek Forest Access Trail, or ski at Eldora Mountain Resort, include those experiences in your comments to the Forest Service.

Dear  U.S. Forest Service,

I have several concerns relating to the DEIS analyzing the proposed expansion of Eldora Mountain Resort beyond current boundaries. I believe alternatives presented in the DEIS will have negative impacts on wildlife migration and habitat, water quality, safety, and on backcountry recreation.

Thank you for considering my comments on the Eldora Mountain Resort Ski Area Projects DEIS.
