Protect the Point Arena-Stornetta Public Lands
Located along California's Mendocino County south coast, the 1,132 acres of Stornetta Public Lands offer breathtaking scenic views, wind-sculpted cypress stands, wildflower meadows and shifting sand dunes. Natural bridges, waterfalls and tide pools are among the many natural wonders that draw visitors to the area’s coastline, beaches and islands.
Permanent protection of Point Arena-Stornetta Public Lands will support the Bureau of Land Management staff ensure proper oversight and management of this abalone "hotspot" as it receives intense seasonal use by recreational abalone divers.
Please take action and ask President Obama and Secretary Salazar to protect this remarkable coastal landscape by adding the Point Arena-Stornetta Public Lands to the California Coastal National Monument.
