Protect the San Juan Islands as a National Monument

Just a short ferry ride from northwest Washington State are the San Juan Islands, a collection of spectacular islands and reefs that serve as home to an array of wildlife and offer a wide-range of recreational opportunities.

Legislation from Senator Maria Cantwell and Representative Rick Larsen to permanently protect the islands' federal lands has stalled due to Congressional gridlock. However, President Obama has the opportunity to designate these special places as a national monument.

Please take action and ask President Obama to permanently protect the San Juan Islands as a national monument.
