Oppose the Grazing Improvement Act!

Oppose the Grazing Improvement Act of 2011 (S. 1129/H.R. 4234), a bill that would further entrench domestic livestock grazing on federal public lands to the detriment of fish, wildlife, watersheds and other public values.

The Grazing Improvement Act would modify grazing management on Bureau of Land Management and Forest Service lands by extending the term of grazing permits and leases from ten to twenty years; exempting many grazing allotments from environmental review; and providing graziers a special process to appeal adverse grazing decisions, while denying the public the same process to challenge decisions that may harm the environment.
