KDHE Got Too Cozy With Sunflower On Permit

Share this page on FacebookShare this page on TwitterShare this page with other services

In a recent article, The Kansas City Star reported that they have uncovered email correspondence between the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) and Sunflower, which reveals Sunflower was allowed to control aspects of the permitting process for its proposed coal plant in Holcomb for its own gain.

After years of controversy and unfair political influence surrounding this project, the time is long overdue for the EPA to act. Write the EPA and ask them to object to the permit KDHE issued to Sunflower late last year.
