Sen. Klobuchar, Support the Clean Water Restoration Act
Dear [Decision Maker],
In 1970 America's waters were in trouble. The Cuyahoga River was catching fire, the Red River was declared biologically dead, and fish caught in Lake Erie could poison your family. In 1972, Congress passed the Clean Water Act. It was intended to protect all of the "waters of the United States" and for over 30 years the Act has protected our lakes and streams.
Now, a series of misguided court decisions and federal guidelines have begun to dismantle the Clean Water Act's safeguarding of lakes and streams used for fishing, farming and drinking water.
