The Inyo National Forest is a beautiful and iconic national forest gem in California's Eastern Sierra Nevada mountains. This forest provides a wealth of benefits to local communities and attracts visitors from all across the US and internationally to hike its popular high Sierra trails and visit iconic wilderness areas, including the John Muir Wilderness. Right now the U.S. Forest Service is deciding how the forest will be managed and protected for the next twenty years. With careful management, the Inyo can continue to support healthy natural habitats, clean water, and wonderful outdoor recreation opportunities for generations to come to explore and enjoy.
