Tell the DNR: Conduct a full Environmental Review on Line 61

Canadian pipeline company Enbridge is proposing to triple the capacity of Line 61 to 1.2 million barrels per day, an almost unprecedented amount in Wisconsin and will travels from Superior to Flanagan, IL, putting our major waterways at risk. The Department of Natural Resources is considering an air permit for the line.

We need all hands on deck to send an overwhelming message: our lakes, rivers, and climate are too valuable to sacrifice in the name of corporate profits. Urge the DNR to conduct a full Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) today!

Dear Secretary Stepp,

The proposed expansion for Enbridge Energy's Line 61 pipeline poses serious and severe risks for Wisconsin. I am writing to you today to urge you to direct the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) to conduct a full Environmental Impact Statement of the pipeline expansion. All possible effects to Wisconsin's air and water should be considered before an expansion is allowed.

Our lakes, rivers, and climate are too valuable to sacrifice in the name of corporate profits. Thank you for listening to my comments. Again, I urge you to conduct a full Environmental Impact Statement. I look forward to hearing your response.

Sincerely,
