A number of key conservation issues are going to come up in the 2014 legislative session. Some of them are:

  • Clean Water
  • Clean Solar and Wind Power 
  • Local foods
  • Climate change  

Do your representatives know where the conservation community stands on these pressing issues? 

To let our representatives know where Maine's conservation community stands on these and other important issues, Sierra Club Maine and the Environmental Priorities Coalition are inviting our members and supporters to meet with state legislators at a working breakfast at 7:30 a.m., on Thursday, January 16, at the State House cafeteria.

In addition, the breakfast is free and open to the public, so please join us!

Here are the details:

Who: State house and senate representatives, Sierra Club Maine and Environmental Priorities Coalition staff, interested public.

What: A breakfast to tell our representatives where the conservation community stands on key issues for 2014.

Where: State House cafeteria, 230 State Street, Augusta (map)

When: Thursday, January 16, at 7:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.

Please send a note to your state house and senate representative to attend the breakfast. It's a great way to remind them that you are paying close attention to their positions affecting Maine's precious and fragile environment.
