Keep Oregon's Forests in Public Ownership

The State Land Board (made up of Governor Kitzhaber, State Treasurer Ted Wheeler, and Secretary of State Kate Brown) is accepting bids on three pieces of the Elliott State Forest. Selling these parcels would set a dangerous precedent that could lead to even more sales of state lands in the future, some of which includes old growth and other important habitat.

Oregon's public lands and school children are among our most valuable resources. We need to protect both. Please urge the members of the State Land Board to work to find a solution that both funds schools and keeps our state forest lands in public ownership.
