To prevent the proliferation of frac sand mines throughout the County and minimize their impacts to our bountiful environmental resources, LaSalle County needs a strong comprehensive plan.

The LaSalle County Development, Environmental, and TIF Committee are holding open houses to hear public comment on their draft Comprehensive Plan. This plan guides the future for all land use in the county and paves the way for economic development and environmental protection.

LaSalle County's natural areas such as Starved Rock are unique assets that not only offer a chance to experience Illinois's natural heritage but are also a strong economic engine for the County as well.

Tell LaSalle County officials you want a Comprehensive Plan that protects our resources and guides our county to a sustainable, responsible future!
