Send Congressmen Bobby Scott, Jim Moran and Gerry Connolly a message thanking them for voicing their strong opposition to offshore drilling and its precursory seismic studies.

Thank them for writing to Secretary Salazar expressing strong opposition to proposed seismic testing in the Atlantic Ocean and standing up for our sensitive coastal environment and valuable coastal economy.

Thank these Virginia leaders for not only highlighting the tremendous risks involved specifically with seismic studies but also how that activity supports the drilling off our coast that we don't want in the first place.

Thank you for opposing the Seismic threat to our Virginia waters

Dear [Decision Maker],

Thank you for writing to Secretary Salazar expressing strong opposition to proposed seismic testing in the Atlantic Ocean. We greatly appreciate your standing up for our sensitive coastal environment and valuable coastal economy. Thank you for not only highlighting the tremendous risks involved specifically with seismic studies but also how that activity supports the drilling off our coast that we don't want in the first place.

It remains unfathomable how anyone would choose to risk destroying the precious Virginia treasures that are our healthy ocean waters and Chesapeake Bay and our miles of clean, pearly-white beaches. As evidenced by both the Deepwater Horizon oil spill disaster and numerous oil spills since that fateful April 2010 date, the risk continues to be real and formidable.

Thank you again for being a champion for our beautiful and bountiful Virginia coastal environment. And please join us on May 18th for "Hands Across the Sand" as we again line up along Virginia's beaches to protest offshore drilling and to support renewable energy like offshore wind instead.

Sincerely,
